Populating the magical and expansive world in which Equestria is nestled, are a diverse menagerie of animals. Most are similar enough to their earthly cousins not to warrant unique mention, but some are so extraordinary that they warrant more information. These animals are those which do not exhibit sentience and/or the ability to communicate in a meaningful way.

Animals which are rare or extinct should be listed in relevant subcategories, rather than on this page directly.

Note: Each page should have at least one area where these animals can be located, and any particularly noteworthy subspecies. Also remember that these entries should not be considered common knowledge, and each page should also contain information those that live near these animals might know.
